I'm Jessica Olson, owner of Proverbial Clay. I am originally from Berlin, Germany, and now based in Beaumont, Texas. My creative journey started in high school, with a passion for art. I moved to North Carolina for Bible college, where I met my husband, and we now have three boys that we are currently homeschooling.

      I've explored various forms of art, including sewing, quilting, and painting, but my heart lies in crafting functional pottery. I was trained at the Rock Hill Pottery Center in South Carolina and now produce handmade ceramics, with a goal to create beautiful works for people's everyday use.

      What truly fulfills me is seeing people love and use my creations. Recently, my family and I moved to Beaumont, Texas, and I'm excited to continue my pottery journey here in South East Texas.
